Hello I'm getting an error from the plugin saying "client used for authentication no longer active"

What can I do to rectify this?

I'm getting the same error on two different websites; one still running Joomla 3.8.5 and one updated to Joomla 3.8.6, and it's not working on either site.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
