How do I get the thumbnail to match the image displayed inside?

when the image is bigger, it gets cropped, whem smaller, gets replicated inside the thumbnail (sent you an email with two print screens)

how do I get from the gallery or photo to the original Facebook photo? Since there I might find more comments & photos, it would be great.

Is tehre any way to integrate this component with JomSocial or Joomla login? Now, I just have to login twice and it's not pretty.
