Hi there

I've just purchased & installed your FB Gallery component, and whilst the component itself seems quite straightforwards .. i'm having a few issues setting up the FB App side of things....

Can you provide any guidance in getting through the FB Approval process for creating a new App?

Is seems quite full on, and yes I've read your documentation however FB have changed the screens since you wrote the Word doc.

Hello
If you using your facebook application in your site you not need Approval from Facebook
And in site developers.facebook.com/ please click menu Apps-> Add a new App-> Website->Skip and Create App ID (in right) and You can create Facebook App with guide in file doc
Sorry for this problem because facebook have changed it
And You can tell me know username you want change? So we can change it

Thanks Bach,

Ok so now you need to register with Facebook as a developer to be able to create your App, plus you have to submit your app with Facebook for approval.

Do you know if using a Facebook Admin account is ok do should I be the account owner?

This would then mean we need to get the owner setup as a Facebook developer plus then go through the approval once more.

Seems quite a awkward process from FB!

Hi Martin
You only need create your facebook application and you is developers it :)
You can see it here:
developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review/login
However, in order to help you craft your Facebook Login experience, your app's developers will be able to see, and grant, any permission without requiring review by Facebook.

Note: People who are listed in your app's Roles tab will have access to extended permissions without going through review (e.g. publish_actions or manage_pages). For example, if you use the Facebook Plugin for Wordpress to publish your blog posts to your Facebook Page or Profile, you do not need to submit for review so long as all your publishers are listed in your app's Roles tab.

Also, if you're the developer of an app and are the only person using it, then your app doesn't need to go through review. Since you're the developer, all app capabilities should be available. You will still need to take your app out of developer mode, but you should be able to do that without going through review.

Hi Back,

Thanks for your reply .. I've review your post however when I check my App status in the FB Developers page I get the following status -

The following items must be completed before you can submit your app for review:
Your app must have App Icon set. Please visit App Details to add one.
Your app must have Long Description set. Please visit App Details to add one.
Your app must have Privacy Policy URL set. Please visit App Details to add one.

and in the App Details section -

Currently Ineligible for Submission
Your submission is missing data in the following fields:
Tagline
Short Description
User Support Email or User Support URL
Image: Web Banner
Image: Cover Image
Show all (9)
Your submission contains the following errors:
You must choose at least one platform to be displayed

so the information from Facebook is difference from what they really ask you ...

Is it worth deleting this App and starting again ?

You can using it and not have any problem. Or you can create new Facebook Application because facebook not limit it
