Only when create and save the first time with your plugin checked to post on facebook posts 404. any other action shows the page

The problem started out of the blue, no updates in joomla, no changes on server Facebook Debuger when re-scrap shows everything ok. The Facebook Application we have, went to APIv2.8 because 2.3 was deprecated, could it be something with the new Facebook API?
