We have been using this extension and it works perfectly. The only challenge I'm experiencing with this extension is that it picks up all the images on the site from the top of the site to the bottom of the article and publishes, automatically selecting the first image it comes to. Previously, it only did this when there was no image in the article. However, lately it does it for all articles, whether there is an image in the article or not.
That said, I was thinking the method below might eliminate this from happening.
1) save all images located outside the article (web banners, etc) as a bmp
2) we most commonly use png and jpg in article content
3) go to JO Social Auto Publish and tell it to only publish images of the file types png, jpg, jpeg; whereby preventing it from picking up bmp (a type i could designate for all non-content images.
However, I'm noting that this is not an option JO Social Auto Publish from joomla admin. Is there a file or location where mime types can be designated or restricted from publishing?
