Joomla Free extensions

I have the following settings:

Load JQuery - Yes
Data Type: Read in Playlist

Directory Path: "modules/mod_jo_audio_player/audio/"
(there are 40 .mp3 files)

Playlist Format:
01.mp3|Bossanova for Feeling Trendy
02.mp3|Together Young & Wild & Free
etc.

PlayerSettings:
Auto play - Yes
Random play - Yes
Looping - Yes
Add number in Playlist - Yes
Use Song Name Scroll - Yes

Playlist Settings:
Show Playlist - Yes

The player appears on the page - but music does not automatically start
If I turn Auto play & Random play & Looping all to OFF
The start play button changes color and the up or down arrows highlight the next song ... still no sound.

I have tried everything I can think of ... still no luck .

What needs to change or be fixed?

Here is an clearer summary of my configuration and my perceptions ... so far

My directory path is “/modules/mod_jo_audio_player/audio”

All 40 of the files in the audio folder are purposely simple ... just a file no title / no artist / no album
01.mp3
02.mp3
...
40.mpg

My playlist is also simple
01|Aaa
02|BBB
...
40|Cccc

IF the settings are:
Data Type - Read in Folder
Directory Path - with / in front
Playlist - file # - NO .mp3

Player shows error “Directory ‘/modules/mod ... ‘ not found

IF I change ONLY Data Type - Read in Playlist
Playlist does show but music does not play

I can’t find ANY combination of settings OR playlist entry that
Shows the Playlist ANdD plays the music
